ALLBIRDS
Materials from Earth

We are super thrilled to get involved by our Danish friends Kühl&Han in this joint collaborative project for Allbrids client.

Our task was to design the look and animations for regenerative materials: wool, tree and sugarcane.

"We replace petroleum-based synthetics with natural alternatives wherever we can. Like using wool, tree fiber, and sugar cane. They’re soft, breathable, and better for the planet—win, win, win." - Allbirds

Wool

"With fibers that are 20% the diameter of human hair, our superfine merino wool is breathable, temperature-regulating, and moisture-wicking, all without that irritating scratchiness." - Allbirds

"In New Zealand, sheep outnumber humans about six to one. Thanks to their wool, our process uses 60% less energy than materials used in typical synthetic shoes." - Allbirds

Threads and knitting

Tree

"Thanks to their fiber and a clean closed-loop process, we have a naturally-derived, renewable material that’s much easier on the environment than traditional fabrics." - Allbirds

Sugarcane to foam

"The sugarcane used to make SweetFoam® is sourced from southern Brazil, where it relies on rainwater, not irrigation. It’s a fully renewable resource that grows quickly, removing carbon from the atmosphere in the process." - Allbirds

"It’s so self-sufficient, in fact, that when it’s processed, its biomass is extracted to literally power the mill and fertilize the next year’s crop." - Allbirds

"When we transform it into our SweetFoam® shoe sole, it contours to your feet for bouncy comfort that lets you let loose." - Allbirds
